interesting photos from Rods and Sods

the wagon wheels sorta throw me... there aren't any indications of an engine, or horse hookups, so is this mechaincal? Or just gravity drive?

Cool signature gimmick, the Moon Eyes

Lions and bears pulling this cart.. .. makes me wonder how those sheep are dealing with the team mates on the pull

best christmas tree ever?

What is the Elvis connection with Ed Roth, and Gene Winfield?

Elvis was driving an Ed Roth trike, and Ed made tops with his trikes, http://www.aeclassic.com/73rothtrike/ (to read about them). Well, back to the story... so you can bet that most of those tops never saw the road, and one was located in a backyard by Spider the pinstriper, and as you can see below, he pinstriped it, and brought it to a show and Gene is photographed sitting it it.
Thanks to Spider for the story, and let this be a lesson. Learn what you can from everyone you can, a lot of people have great story!

Ed Roth's Mysterion had inherent build quality problem that caused it's scrappage about 1974, but Dave Shuten built a new one!

The second interesting thing about these gauges is that there are two of each, because they are early power boat gauges from a boat with two engines.

That little tv set took a year to find on Ebay, they are very rare, and might be the hardest thing to replace when making one of these "1960's car show crazy kustoms"

Dave might not be familiar by name, but he is by his actions... he restored Orbitron, built Mysterion, and might be the best sole authority on Ed Roth's creations

Big Daddy Ed Roth's art in motion, the Finkosel

"Wouldn't Finks make a cool carousel? " and the idea of the "FINKOSEL" was born. From there came scale drawings. The artists got permission from the Roth Estate to build the thing, and a new type of Kustom Kulture is born!

Take a close up look at the panels here: http://finkosel.homestead.com/files/panels.htm
