Autoblog's years best photos

1937 Bugatti Atlantic Type 57sc at the Mullin museum

Historic races at Monterey

Love the paint scheme and the Barracuda looking custom Challenger. Too bad they don't have the guts to factory make a good Barracuda, I don't give a damn that the "Plymouth" brand doesn't exist... the car would have nothing in common with real 67-71 Barracudas anyway, beside a few retro looking design touches.

1925 Bugatti Type 13 Brescia at the Mullin Automotive Museum that was pulled out of the lake recently, it had been dumped into the lake to avoid paying duties: http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2010/01/1925-type-22-bugatti-pulled-out-of-lake.html

Is this a good photoshop swap? Or a 2nd photo from a good photographer? It's a photoshopped VW over the Stang

AJ scoped it out, and noticed that the bug is not completely hiding the Mustang's front fender
Same exact setting as the bottom photo, and the Mustang is smaller than the VW so it's possible that the vw is photoshopped over the stang

This VW was photographed by Iris Antonio according to the sources of the photo I've found .. but like AJ pointed out, the but is a clever photoshop that didn't quite mask the Mustang

Thanks AJ! "The mustang fender top is still visible in the VW "photo".

This is the photography of Webb Bland, http://notbland.com/images/dodge/cult_challenger_srt8.htm and his photography is impressive, and so is this Challenger from Cult Motorsport

Intriguing variety of cool photographs on Le Container

Above, the Purple People Eater

Awesome photo, going vertical just a split second after lifting off the ground, that is power

Look close at the wheel hub and you'll see that the above is a VW

Clever use of wheels!

The above are just models

The first color photo of a car... I'm astonished

This photo, from 1907, was probably the first color photo of a car. It was photographed by Jean-Baptiste Tournassoud using the Autochrome Lumiar process. The Lumière brothers patented the process in 1903 and was the most used for color photographic records until the mid 30's. The car seems to be a picture of Peugeot 116.

From the archives of Nik, http://carrosantigos.wordpress.com/2008/07/18/a-primeira-foto-colorida-de-um-carro/ Nik finds the coolest stuff!

Fantastic photography I found on motoriginal tumblr

Stutz hood ornament by Richard Owens of Supercars.net

Photo by Tim Owens of Supercars.net

Probably a Dupont, as very few cars had these woodlight headlights, Ruxtons, DuPonts, and very few others. Photo by Dirk De Jager of Supercars.net

Tim confirmed that this is a Tubonique, and the cover photo from Mechanics Illustrated, Feb 1969 http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2007/05/click-on-all-pictures-to-enlarge-them.html

Shelby's showroom in New York perhaps?
